Eggie looking for a buddy

“We’re all scrambled!” “We’re fried!”

“I found my rice bowl.”

“I’m in the deep end, buddy.”

“Ma!” But Ma’s talking no more.

Eggie’s wings are too tiny to fly,

And the swing is too risky.

2m-high fences? Nah.

Eggie can rock, but it sure can’t roll far.

And it’s too rocky to lie flat.

Facing River Huangpu, it sure misses spring.

How about some ‘positive’ thinking?

Lotsa buddies at Fangcang Land (make-shift hospital)!

Eggie thought it through and through.

“Welcome home, buddy!”

Surely, a better tomorrow awaits,

And surely, Eggie will find its fate

And a true buddy.
